“I have been taking French classes with Language Door for years. It is like my meditation time. I am so happy that they are offering online classes during this difficult time. Having the class every week and seeing my teacher and other students definitely give me a sense of routine and comfort.”

"We couldn't be happier with Language Door ! My two kids have been studying Spanish for the last 3 years and can now read, write and converse. Not to mention they enjoy speaking Spanish and love their teachers , who are native speakers. Studying online gives a lot of flexibility , we love that as well!"
Zinat

LEARN A NEW LANGUAGE IN ST. LOUIS

St. Louis is a city in Missouri, on the western bank of the Mississippi River, which forms the state line between Illinois and Missouri. The Missouri River merges with the Mississippi River 15 river miles north of Downtown St. Louis, forming the fourth-longest river system in the world. With more free major tourist attractions than any other city in the country outside Washington, D.C. Visitors pay nothing to visit the art museum, the history museum, the science center and the zoo. One of the most popular tourist attractions in St. Louis is the Gateway Arch. On a clear day, visitors can see almost 30 miles in each direction from the top. The city is also proud to house the Missouri Botanical Gardens – among the top three botanical gardens in the world. Tourism thrives in St. Louis, and with deep French roots,  the city hosts a huge Mardi Gras parade and festival every year, which is said to be the second-largest in the country after New Orleans’. St. Louis houses two major professional sports teams. Professional baseball team the St. Louis Cardinals is one of the most successful baseball franchises in history. To date, the team has won 11 World Series championships, 19 National League pennants, and 12 division titles. The St. Louis Blues, an ice hockey team, was founded in 1967 as one of the six teams from the 1967 NHL expansion. The Blues qualified for the playoffs in all but nine of their 52 seasons, appeared in the Stanley Cup Finals four times, and won the Stanley Cup in 2019. As of 2018, the St. Louis Metropolitan Area is home to ten Fortune 500 companies, the 7th-most among U.S. cities.  As a center of medicine and biotechnology, several different organizations operate hospitals in the area, including BJC HealthCare, Mercy, SSM Health Care, and Tenet. With its French past and waves of Catholic immigrants in the 19th and 20th centuries, from Ireland, Germany and Italy, St. Louis is a major center of Roman Catholicism in the United States. St. Louis also boasts the largest Ethical Culture Society in the United States.  With diversity a strong part of St. Louis’ culture, many different cultures and ethnicities are represented here. The largest Asian ethnic groups include Vietnamese, Chinese and Asian Indians, with the Vietnamese community concentrated in the Dutchtown neighborhood and the Chinese community in the Central West End. The largest Latino group comes from Mexico and accounts for 2.2% of the total population of the city. The Mexican community is concentrated most heavily in the Dutchtown, Gravois Park and Benton Park West neighborhoods. It’s estimated that St. Louis is home to about 70,000 Bosnians, which is the largest population outside of Bosnia. St. Louis is also home to the only Bosnian-language newspaper in the country. Combining the city’s tourism, sports teams, economy, and diversity, St. Louis is a wonderful city to learn a language in.
